The Gauteng Department of Education welcomes the enthusiasm shown by parents in applying early for the 2014 schooling year. Schools started receiving application forms from a number of parents this morning. Submission of applications forms started today, 17 April 2013 and will close on 21 May 2013.
We have sent our officials to monitor areas where there is high demand for space. The only documents needed to apply, in addition to the application form, is a birth certificate or a certified copy, immunisation card for grade 1, proof of residence or work address, transfer card or latest report card, and study permits for legal immigrants.
