Collection of media accreditation– 2018 official opening of the Legislature
On Monday, the 26th February 2018 the Speaker of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL), Honourable Ntombi Mekgwe will preside over the Official Opening Legislature, where in terms of Rule 14 of the Standing Orders, the Honourable Premier David Makhura will deliver the State of the Province Address at the GPL.
The Premier’s address will highlight the Gauteng Government’s programme of action and service delivery priorities for the year 2018 and beyond.
Accreditation for media will take place as follows:
Date: From Friday - Sunday, 23rd – 26th February 2018
Time: Between 10h00 and 16h00 daily
Venue: Johannesburg City Hall
The Opening on Monday, 26th February will commence with a Morning Programme at 08h30 which includes red carpet interviews; arts entertainment; police parade; and the guard of honour among others. The House Sitting will commence at 10h00.
All members of the media who have completed the attached screening template with their full details including: name and surname; ID number; and name of Media Company, are reminded to be physically present for collection. ID books press cards will be required on collection of accreditation.
There will be no accreditation at the venue on the day.
