A portion of Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Moerane's house burnt down during the early hours of this morning, Saturday, 19 June 2010, as a result of burglary.
MEC Moerane and her family were not at home when the incident occurred.
The extent of the damage is not yet known and this can only be determined once full investigations have been completed.
The police are investigating and we hope the perpetrators are brought to book.
