Gauteng Health on babies born on New Year's day

More than 70 babies born in Gauteng Hospitals

Seventy two babies were were born in 12 hospitals across Gauteng province.

By midday on New year’s Day:

1. Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital delivered 14 babies (8 girls and 6 boys).  The first baby was born at 01h15.
2. Leratong Hospital delivered 4 babies (2 girls and 2 boys). The first baby was born at 09h00
3. Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital delivered 4 babies. (1 girl and 3 boys).The first baby was born on 00h05
4. Bertha Gxowa Hospital delivered 2 babies (2 boys). The first baby was born at 00h35.
5. Kalafong Hospital delivered 5 babies (1 girl and 4 boys) .The first baby was born at 00h01
6. Kopanong Hospital delivered 2 babies (two girls).  The first baby was born at 05h10
7. Sebokeng Hospital delivered 5 babies (2 girls and 3 boys).  The first baby was born at 00h40
8. Jubilee Hospital delivered 5 babies (2 girls and 3 boys). 
9. Yusuf Dadoo Hospital delivered 8 babies (3 girls and 5 boys).  The first baby was born at 00h05.
10. Tembisa Hospital delivered 4 babies (1 girl and 3 boys).  The first baby was born at 00h40
11. Far East Rand Hospital delivered 7 babies(3 girls and 4 boys) .The first baby was born at 00h20
12. Tshwane District Hospital delivered 3 babies (3 girls).The first baby was born at 00h50
