An independent team of investigators has presented its preliminary findings into allegations that the principal of Mandisa Shiceka Secondary School had shown pornographic material to girl learners.
The independent investigation found that the allegations against the principal could not be substantiated and there was no basis to institute an internal disciplinary process. As a result the Head of the Gauteng Department of Education Mr Boy Ngobeni has lifted the suspension of the principal and he returned to school today.
The principal was accused towards the end of first term of allegedly showing pornographic material to girl learners.
An educator, from the same school, remains on suspension pending the completion of further investigations into her conduct by the independent investigators. The educator was alleged to have persuaded the learners to fabricate information against the principal.
