Life Sciences educators from Gauteng will be given the opportunity to explore and use the activities and worksheets to gain first hand experience free of charge at the Johannesburg Zoo from 7 to 8 April 2011 during school holidays.
The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has joined forces with Johannesburg Zoo through aligning the worksheets and activities of the Johannesburg Zoo to the new Life Sciences Curriculum being taught at schools.
With the assistance of Life Sciences, subject advisors Biodiversity and Classification will form an integral part of the new curriculum.
There will be Classification, Genetics and Animal Diversity on 7 April 2011.
Plant Diversity will be on 8 April 2011 and it will be free of charge.
Bookings are essential and must be done via the District Life Sciences subject advisors.
