The Gauteng and North West Provincial Governments will on Sunday, 16 August 2026, announce the phased resumption of North-West Transport Investment (NTI) bus services in Hammanskraal and surrounding areas in the City of Tshwane.
The Premiers for both provinces will be joined by the MECs responsible for Transport in the respective provinces. NTI’s resumption of bus services is set to provide relief to thousands of commuters in Hammanskraal and surrounding areas, including Atteridgeville, Mabopane and Mamelodi.
The development follows substantial progress that has been made in preparation for the phased return of operations, including employee engagements, subcontractor coordination, passenger communication, security arrangements, fleet repositioning, restoration of ticketing systems and operational planning.
