Pet owners in and around Soshanguve are invited to bring their pets for free rabies vaccination. The pet care campaign will be conducted by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Veterinary Services.
The campaign aims to extend veterinary services to communities who would otherwise not be able to afford private veterinary services. Pet vaccination is also a proactive way of combating diseases such rabies, a potentially fatal disease if left untreated. Humans can easily contract rabies as they are in close contact with their pets.
Pets with other ailments including those with wounds will be treated during the campaign.
