Winnie Mandela Museum Construction
Following the passing on of the struggle icon, Mrs Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, the Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation (FSACR) has received numerous enquiries regarding the planned Winnie Mandela Museum which is situated in Brandfort.
The Department will like to put it on record, as it has done in the past, that the project to turn late Mrs Winnie Mandela's house into a museum is under the direct control and management of the national Department of Arts and Culture (DAC). Enquiries with regard to this project should therefore be directed to the DAC as the custodian of the project.
The FSACR is not in a position to shed any light around the project as it falls under the DAC.
