Free State government bursary open for all

Free State government is making a call to Grade 12 learners, currents students and unemployed youth who want to further their studies at tertiary level to apply for bursaries.

The Free State government has over the years developed a bursary programme enabling financially needy deserving learners them to pursue their studies at tertiary level.

The purpose is to make higher education more accessible and affordable to all. Through the bursary programme government is able to address skills shortage identified in the province and eventually eradicate poverty.

Learners from rural areas and with disabilities are encouraged to apply and make use of this opportunity.

Learners are requested to follow correct procedures when applying and attach all documents needed.

Application forms are available at Absa Building; 142 Maitland Street in Bloemfontein and for further information the bursary office can be contacted at 051 447 2764. The closing date for applications is 16 September 2011.

Late application forms will not be considered. Successful applicants will be informed during November and December.
