Four new police stations to be opened in North West, Premier Modise

North West Premier, Thandi Modise’s assessment of the South African Police Service (SAPS) infrastructure development programme projects is that four new police stations are to be delivered for opening in her province this year. The assessment was part of the Premier Modise’s State of the Province Address delivered on Friday in the Provincial legislature.

Over R110 million has been budget for the projects in their final stages of construction in Klipgat, Jouberton, Amalia and Hebron respectively.

“The completion of the four prioritised projects is essential in order that the services provided by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in support of safe and secure communities, may be accessed as quickly and conveniently as is possible,” emphasised Modise.

The building of new police stations to improve the accessibility of policing services to the community as well as the improving of the condition of existing stations is a medium-term priority for the SAPS.
