Public Notice Gazette for Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Industry to align the Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Charter to the Broad –Based Black Economic Empowerment (B_BBEE) Act, 2003, as amended
The Minister of Energy, Mamoloko Kubayi has requested the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies to inform members of the public of the intention for the Department of Energy and the Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Industry to align the Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Charter to the B-BBEE Act, 2003 as amended. The alignment process is in terms of B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice and the B-BBEE policy framework through Government Gazette no 41110, (See attached).
The Minister of Energy further invites all stakeholders with major commercial interest in the Petroleum and liquid fuels sector to interact with the South African Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Industry Interim Steering Committee by using this email, Petroleumsectorcode@energy.gov.za which is provided in Proclamation no 31 of 2017, (See attached)..
The Department of Energy envisages publishing the Draft Petroleum and Liquid Fuels Sector Code by Mid November 2017.
