ECDoE under new leadership

The Department of Education in the Eastern Cape has appointed a host of new management members to help achieve education's vision which is, to offer a quality public education system that transforms schools into centres of community and promote shared moral values, good governance and sustainable development.

Newly appointed Accounting Services Director Nokuthula Ngcingwana has strong focus points this year, in which she plans to achieve with the assistance of her directorate.

Taking Accounting Services to schools.

The directorate plan to actively involve themselves in community development through school grades 10 to 12, focusing on the accounting profession, contributing to the education and training of professional accountants.

Assisting the department in getting a clean audit.

Auditing is known for its checks and balances, a discipline where things have to add up. This translates into raising risk awareness and growing a culture opposed to corruption.

Ngcingwana is excited to be part of the new management with a big smile on her face as she said it. Ngcingwana is in management with the following as newly appointed:

Mthunywa Ngonzo – Superintendent General (Head: Education Department)
Henry Isaacs – Chief Financial Officer
Mthobeli Gaca – Chief Director - Cluster A
Welile Payi – Chief Director - Human Resource Development and Management
Xoliswa Kese – Chief Director - Chief Financial Management Services
Khayalethu Ngaso - Chief Director - Cluster C

Giving a message of hope to all the employees of the department she says, “Instead of giving ourselves the reason why we can’t, let’s give ourselves the reason why we can, because with God everything is possible.”
