Eastern Cape Transport offers internship opportunities

In its continued endeavor to develop youth and reduce unemployment, the Eastern Cape Department of Transport is in offering 84 employment opportunities through its internship programme.

The aim of the programme is to expose young graduates to the work environment and thus provide them with the necessary work experience.

If chosen candidates will sign a 12 month contract with the department and receive a monthly stipend of R5 000.

The breakdown of these internships and the Directorates is as follows:

In order  In order to be considered and be given preference a graduate will have to be: 

  • In possession of suitable qualification for the above areas
  • Residing in or around the above areas (submit proof of residence)
  • Unemployed
  • Never done Internship for any government department.

To apply interested graduates are invited to submit their CVs and certified copies of certificates and ID at Human Resources Development Offices of the department in King Williams Town and in all District Offices in Port Elizabeth, Queesntown, Aliwal North, Mthatha, Kokstad and East London.

Closing date for submission is Friday, 1 March 2013 at 14h00.
