The Office of the Premier wishes to state that the Premier has noted the statement allegedly issued by the African National Congress (ANC) Youth League in the province today.
Although the Office of the Premier believes the calls are unwarranted, baseless and irresponsible, the matter will be appropriately dealt with by the ruling party, the ANC, whose prerogative it is to deploy or redeploy its members to public offices.
The Office believes also that the youth may be living in their own world hence they are not able to see the manifestations of major development interventions taking place in the Eastern Cape under the able leadership of Premier Noxolo Kiviet. The calls therefore should be rejected with the contempt they deserve.
