The Eastern Cape Department of Health held a Performance Management and Development System (PMDS) workshop at the Roji Skenjane hall on 4 August 2009.
The workshop's main aim was to give clarity and inform the employees how PMDS function and to accelerate service delivery in the department. The workshop was demonstrated in a form of industrial theatre and its purpose was to educate while entertaining at the same time.
The role play highlighted to the managers and staff members how important PMDS is in identifying gap and developing staff members in order to perform effectively.
The department also invited officials from Office of the Premier and Price Water House Cooper to help answer questions with regard to PMDS.
In closing, Mr Nokhele urged all the employees to stick to what they are intended to do to improve service delivery.
