Labour Director-General, Lamati takes-off to attend 104th of ILO's ILC Conference in Geneva, Switzerland
The Department of Labour's Director-General, Thobile Lamati will today leave for Geneva to join a team of local technical experts to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) International Labour Conference (ILC).
The meeting which started yesterday is expected to end next week.
The South African delegation to the ILOs conference also include departmental officials, labour, business and members of Portfolio Committee on Labour.
Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant is expected to join the South African delegation later in the week.
The ILC meeting will discuss labour migration and employment strategies, graduation from informal economy, and strengthening ILO Convention 29 on forced labour.
