Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe today, 12 June 2010 met with Bolivian President His Excellency Evo Morales in Johannesburg on the margins of the FIFA World Cup.
During the meeting Deputy President Motlanthe reaffirmed South Africa’s commitment in assisting Bolivia as the country undertakes constitutional reforms.
President Morales also highlighted the need to strengthen bilateral and trade relations between the two countries and committed to ensuring that the Bolivian Minister of External Affairs pays a visit to South Africa to follow up on these issues.
"We are delighted to welcome you to South Africa during this important time of the FIFA World Cup, and pleased to hear of the progress made in issues we agreed upon," said Deputy President Motlanthe. President Morales is in South Africa at the invitation of FIFA.
