Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe arrives in the Republic of Kenya

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe arrived today, 24 November 2010 in Nairobi, to commence his two day official visit to the Republic of Kenya.

During this visit, Deputy President Motlanthe and his delegation will hold discussions with the Kenyan government on issues relating to bilateral relations between the two countries, developments in the East African Region as well as global and multilateral matters.

Deputy President Motlanthe and the Kenyan Vice President Mr Musyoka will witness the signing of agreements on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and a Memorandum of Understanding on agriculture.

Deputy President Motlanthe is accompanied by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr R Davies; Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms T Joemat-Petterson, Deputy Minister of the International Relations and Cooperation, Mr E Ebrahim and the Deputy Minister of Tourism Ms T Xasa.
