Deputy President arrives in Sudan for a working visit

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe had today, 22 October 2009, arrived in the Republic of Sudan for a three day working visit where he is expected to discuss, with his counterparts in the Government of Sudan, the Post Conflict Reconstruction and Development (PCRD), the 2010 election and the national referendum, governance experiences and other matters related to the implementation of the Sudan Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).

The Deputy President is accompanied by Monitoring and Evaluation Minister in the Presidency, Collins Chabane.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe is expected to return to South Africa on 24 October 2009.
