Hoot in support to fight violence against women and children
The Department of Women will use the International Men’s Day on Thursday, 19 November to call on South African men to join the 16 Days of Activism for No violence Against Women and Children Campaign, an annual United Nations event, which takes place from the 25th November (International Day of No Violence Against Women) to the 10th December (International Human Rights Day).
On Thursday, the Department is calling all motorists to hoot between 07:30 -08:00 in support of the campaign.
The Minister of Women, Susan Shabangu call on all motorists to join thousands of South African men as they say: “Ro neta!” (Enough – not in my name), #CountMeIn against gender based violence and child abuse.
