The department is deeply saddened by the passing on of a Grade 10 learner from Sibukosethu Secondary School. Tebogo Ngomane (16) went missing on 30 August 2014 around the Middleburg area on their way back after their school embarked on friendly sporting activities held in Mamelodi.
According to the report from the police he was found dead in a river near Middleburg.
The department would like to send its deepest condolences to the bereaved family, his school mates, educators, friends and all who are affected by his passing.
“It is very painful to lose a child at such a young age. Our deepest condolences goes to his family and all who are affected by his untimely death”. Said the MEC, Reginah Mhaule
The department will also deploy officials from the inclusive Education Directorate to assess the family members and learners and also give them cancelling.
