The Gauteng Department of Health and Social Development have noted with concern media reports about the baby who died in a queue at Natalspruit hospital while waiting for treatment.
The department would like to refute these allegations as untrue and misleading.
According to hospital records, the baby was brought to the hospital in an ambulance at 02h30 and was certified dead on arrival. The department wishes to urge media houses to report factually and to refrain from creating panic.
