The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport is inviting qualifying transport operators to apply for special operating licenses for use during the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament.
Submission of completed applications is open until 28 February 2010.
Completed application forms can be handed in with the following documents and an application fee of R100 per vehicle.
1. Proof of registration with the Gauteng Public Transport registrar
2. Certified copy of identity (ID), close corporation (CC) or PTY (LTD)
3. Original or certified copy of a permit, operating license or written permission
4. Original or certified copy of a vehicle certificate of fitness (COF)
5. Original or certified copy of a vehicle certificate of registration)
(COR)
6. Tax clearance certificate issued by the South African Revenue Services (SARS)
7. Original or certified copy of passenger liability insurance issued by an accredited financial institution indicating the following:
* Inception date
* Expiry date
* Cover amounts
* Recommendation letter and Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) (route) form from a relevant registered taxi association
* Original vehicle test report from an authorized government testing station
* Any other documents that may be required for processing the application
