The South African Army bids farewell to the former Chief of the SA Army, Lieutenant General Lindile Yam at Pretoria Military Sports Club
Following the recent promulgation of placement and promotions of the General Officers and Flag Officers in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) with effect from 01 November 2019, the former Chief of the SA Army, Lieutenant General Lindile Yam was reassigned to assume a new appointment of the SANDF Chief of Staff.
To this effect, the South African Army will officially bid its sentimental farewell to the former Chief of the SA Army as an appreciation to his illustrious service during his tenure as the commander of the country’s landward capability. In honour of this astute commander, a Brigade-in-Review farewell parade will be held at Pretoria Military Sports Club in Thaba Tshwane on Friday, 24 January 2020 at 10:00am to pay homage to the remarkable milestones that were notched during his tenure as the Chief of the SA Army.
