The Minister of Basic Education Ms Angie Motshekga is calling upon adults who are 21 years and older, who have obtained at least a Grade 9 (old Standard 7) or Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET) Level 4, to register to write the Senior Certificate examination by Monday 31 October 2011.
Candidates must satisfy all the requirements relating to the Senior Certificate in order to obtain the qualification. Learners who have written this examination in the past, and have a subject or two outstanding are also encouraged to register.
This examination will be offered until May/June 2014.
All prospective candidates should visit the nearest office of the Department of Education in their area to register. The following are contact persons per province:
