Pretoria: The Department of International Relations and Cooperation wishes to place it on record that the presentation of the 2008 Annual Report to the Portfolio Committee on International Relations and Cooperation on 14 October 2009 took place at the Cape Diamond Hotel, Parliament St, Cape Town.
The event did not take place at the Table Bay Hotel as reported in the insider column of the Cape Times and Business Day newspapers on 15 October.
The Parliamentary Committee rooms were unavailable at the time at which the Department of International Relations and Cooperation wished to make the presentation to the Committee.
The Department of International Relations and Cooperation adheres to Public Service regulations in regard to the efficient use of state resources, as evidenced by the department's clean and unqualified audit report for the 2008 financial year from the Auditor-General.
