The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Mr Richard Baloyi has identified a need to redefine the roles of the Technical Support Units (TSUs) currently assigned to all provinces and municipalities.
The functioning of the TSUs is currently undermined due to a variety of reasons, ranging from allegations of them receiving hostile reception from some provinces who perceived them to be interfering with the work of officials at the provincial government and Municipalities.
“The issue for us is to ensure that we achieve cooperative governance clear of confrontation,” said Minister Baloyi.
