The North West Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport today, Saturday, 28 November, confirms receipt from PricewaterhouseCoopers, of a “voluminous and very comprehensive” forensic report.
This followed a two month long forensic investigation ordered by MEC Mahlakeng Mahlakeng, into a number of areas in the department, with “special focus” on the directorate: Roads Management.
We are studying that report, and as promised by MEC Mahlakeng in September this year, the report will be made public because of the “public interest this investigation” and other related developments about the department in the past months.
The report’s findings and recommendations including other options being considered, will inform our way forward.
