Condolences to three Kaizer Chiefs supporters killed in minibus accident

North West MEC for Public Safety, Howard Yawa has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to families of three Kaizer Chiefs supporters and appealed to motorists to observe safe following distances and drive slow in the wet weekend weather.

The supporters who were on their way to Royal Bafokeng stadium for the Telkom Charity cup passed away when their minibus overturned near Hartbeespoort dam on Saturday morning. Eight survivors, five in a critical condition were admitted to Brits provincial hospital.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a head on collision that occurred on Friday night between Vyburg and Ganyesa. Nine people died in the accident involving a private Isuzu and a Nissan double cab belonging to the North West Department of Health. Five of the nine are said to be employees of the Department of Health.
