The Chairperson of Portfolio Committee on Communications, Mr Skhumbuzo Kholwane, vehemently denies claims made in an article with a headline ‘Communications department leaderless’ which was published on IOL website today.
The article claims that Mr Kholwane said “Communications Minister Yunus Carrim was running his department like a spaza shop”. Mr Kholwane refutes these allegations with the contempt they deserve and would like to emphasise that he did not say anything to that effect.
Mr Kholwane is disappointed at this incorrect reporting of the business of the Committee and is unhappy with the careless manner in which he was quoted.
