CGE welcomes the appointment of new chairperson and four commissioners
The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) welcomes the announcement by His Excellency Honourable President Cyril Ramaphosa of the appointment of Adv Nthabiseng Sepanya-Mogale as Chairperson of the Commission effectively from 01 March 2023 to 28 February 2028.
The Commission also wishes to welcome the appointment of four other new Commissioners by the President. These are Adv. Thando Gumede, Mr. Bongani Glenton Ngomane, Ms Leelambal (Prabashni) Subrayan Naidoo and Ms Leonashia Leigh -Anne Van Der Merwe.
The Commission congratulates all the new appointees, whose leadership will help in the attainment of the Commission’s vision of creating a society free from gender inequality.
The Commission would like to the thank the Acting Chairperson and Commissioner, Ms. Nomasonto Mazibuko for her sterling leadership in recent months.
