The Chief of the SA Air Force, Lieutenant General Zimpande Msimang is saddened by the discovery of the body of a deceased woman in the swimming pool at Air Force Base Makhado on the morning of Tuesday, 7 May 2013. The deceased woman has not been identified as a member of the SA Air Force or the SA National Defence Force.
A South African Police Service investigation team is on the scene. The cause of death has not yet been established. The SAAF personnel at the base are assisting the police investigation.
