Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Communications Mr Eric Kholwane has welcomed the appointment of Ms Rosey Sekese as the Director-General (DG) for the Department of Communications.
Mr Kholwane said the appointment of Ms Sekese was in line with government’s commitment to the promotion of women’s empowerment and gender equity.
Ms Sekese’s appointment is with effect from 1 June. She has been with the department for the past five years as the Deputy Director-General for information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure development.
