The Chairperson of the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE), Mr Mfanozelwe Shozi on behalf of the Commission applauds the effort undertaken by President Jacob Zuma in signing the Human Trafficking Bill into Law.
This will go a long way towards ensuring that issues of trafficking are addressed through the relevant legislation. The Commission urges the department concerned to craft regulations that will ensure holistic implementation of the Act.
The CGE is confident that this law will provide much needed protection to a large number of boys, girls, men and women if implemented effectively.
