On Friday, 28 March, the North West Provincial Legislature took upon itself to introduce as part of the recognition agreement of Legislature employees to initiate a unique, spontaneous and thrilling programme called “Celebrating Lives”.
This programme is said to distinguish each individual according to their unique and special character of their star sign and how valuable that particular character is in the working environment.
Astrological Star signs celebrated were the Capricorns, Aquarians and Pisces for this quarter. Ms. Kule Mahumapelo, Manager for Employee Wellness deemed this programme as necessary exercise that would create a platform to bring staff members and their executives together, and create a more viable working relationship amongst all.
The programme kick started with a warm welcome by the Executive Manager for Corporate Services, Mr. Maphetlhe Maphetlhe, followed by introduction of unique description and necessity for each character in the workplace of the star signs presented by the Manager for Employee Relations, guests were entertained by Comedian Sammy “Fever” with various jokes of celebrating Lives and those who celebrated these months were showered with gifts and also cutting of cakes representing each star sign.
Lastly guests were entertained with lively music to dance, drink and dish on all the munchies catered for them.
The event will take place on a quarterly basis representing star signs under that quarter.
