Cancellation of public consultations and hearings on the Marketing of Agricultural Products Amendment Bill 2013.
The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries hereby announces the Minister’s decision to cancel the public consultation process on the Marketing of Agricultural Products Amendment Bill 2013. The Bill was published in the Government Gazette (General Notice No. 610 of 2013, Government Gazette No. 36562, Vol. 576) on 14 June 2013 and the public was given until 14 August 2013 to provide comments.
The said decision implies that the public hearings that were scheduled to take place between 30 July 2013 and 2 August 2013 at Saint George’s Hotel in Pretoria have been cancelled. All stakeholders and members of the public are urged to hold their comments until further notice.
