Beyers Naudé School Development Programme

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga, Free State Education MEC Tate Makgoe and the Kagiso Trust, have launched the Beyers Naudé School Development Programme.

The Beyers Naudé School Development Programme (BNSDP) recognises the outstanding performance of Secondary Schools in their National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) examination, and excellent performance of Primary Schools in the Annual National Assessment (ANA). The Programme currently supports 167 schools in the Thabo Mofutsanyana District.

This year, a total of nine Secondary Schools and one Primary School, which have met the Beyers Naudé Programme’s benchmark pass average will be honoured with brand new infrastructure worth R13 million - which includes libraries, science laboratories and computer centres.

The programme was launched on Thursday, 22 August 2013 in Qwa-Qwa, Free State.
