The Hawks has been hot on the heels of an alleged former South African Defence Force (SANDF) member, who has been wanted in connection with an arm cache.
Information has been followed and yesterday at 16h00 at Casselgate in Springs, members raided his place of residence and found the following in possession of a 40 year old former member of SANDF: 600 rounds of R1, R5, shotgun, hollow points and 9mm, one pepper spray, two stun grenades, a bullet proof vest, a police reflector, 13 army knives, a computer, Boeremag files, police reservists’ training manuals, AWB uniform, three magazines for 9mm, army uniform and an unlicensed 9mm pistol.
