After further consultations on the outlook of the Cabinet of the Free State Provincial Government, the Premier of the Free State Mr. ES Magashule (MPL) has exercised his prerogative appointed Mr MJ Zwane (MPL) as MEC responsıble for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs. Ms. MG Qabathe (MPL) has appointed to be MEC responsible for Agriculture and Rural Development.
The appointment of the MECs to new responsibilities of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs as well as that of Agriculture and Rural Development is with immediate effect.
The Cabinet is now constituted as follows:
- Premier: Mr. E.S. Magashule (MPL)
- Agriculture and Rural Development : Ms. M.G. Qabathe (MPL)
- Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs: Ms. S.M. Mlamleli (MPL)
- Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs: Mr. M.J. Zwane (MPL)
- Education: Mr. P.H.I. Makgoe (MPL)
- Health: Dr. B. Malakoane (MPL)
- Police, Roads and Transport: Mr. B.M. Komphela (MPL)
- Public Works: Ms. E.S. Mabe (MPL)
- Social Development: Ms. S.H. Ntombela (MPL)
- Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation: Mr. D.A.M. Kgothule (MPL)
- Treasury: Ms. E.C. Rockman (MPL)
