The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) has implemented a new structure which became effective from 1 April 2011. With the new structure, came a few changes whereby vacancies were to be filled and other Senior Management Service (SMS) members were placed in positions where they will be able to deliver on the mandate of the DAFF.
Based on these changes, Mr. Steve Galane has been appointed the Acting Chief Director responsible for Stakeholder Relations and Communications for the interim period. He will be responsible for coordinating all communication activities of the Agriculture and Forestry components of DAFF as well as delivering on the mandate to enhance intergovernmental and stakeholder relations. Mr Hein Wyngaard is responsible for communication activities in the Fisheries component.
