The Acting President of the Republic, the Minister of Environmental Affairs Ms Edna Molewa has extended condolences on behalf of government on the sad passing of Reverend Mcebisi Xundu, Anglican Priest and former President of the National Inter-Faith Leaders Council.
Reverend Xundu was also a veteran of the liberation struggle and the civic struggles in KwaZulu-Natal townships in particular during the 1980s.
"He understood his calling as a man of the cloth to mean fighting for human rights, freedom and justice for all. He distinguished himself well in fighting for people in distress and the poor," she said.
