Correctional Services Minister Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed well wishes to the 191 correctional officials participating in this year’s Comrades Marathon.
“On behalf of the Correctional Services family, we want to wish the 191 correctional officials participating in the Comrades Marathon today, 2 June 2013 everything of the best. We declared 2013 as ‘The Year of the Correctional Official’.
To this end, the Department of Correctional Services is rolling out a new Human Resource Strategy, focusing on, among others, the development of a staffing plan, the enhancement of relationships with employees, an integrated Employee Health, and Wellness, Programme and channelling more resources towards staff development,” Minister Ndebele said.
