‘My RDP My Pride’ campaign receives massive response

Following a steaming launch of My RDP My Pride campaign on-air at Ashifashabba breakfast show mid this year, the campaign has since seen a massive response from communities around Limpopo. With more than 300 families’ entries, top ten are going to be awarded prizes ranging from home improvements to garden tools.

The Limpopo Department of Local Government and Housing (DLGH), in Partnership with Daily Sun, Sizani Build It and Capricorn FM will be giving away prizes on 3 December 2010 at Polokwane Cricket club.

The campaign aims at encouraging RDP beneficiaries to value their property by planting trees and vegetables, maintaining beautiful and clean yards. Through the campaign, we also hope to educate people about the importance of taking proper care of the environment and improving the image of their homes. This will also contribute positively in the fight against global warming and improving environmental conditions thus leading to a healthier and more productive population. RDP beneficiaries with the most beautiful gardens, home renovations and cleanest yards stand a chance of winning prizes ranging from home improvements to the value of R100 000.00 to home furniture and garden equipments. The Main Prizes will be sponsored by Sizani Built-It.
