The North West Department of Health and Social Development will be hosting the Provincial Youth Indaba on the implementation of the national youth strategy 2007/08 to 2011/12.
The purpose of the indaba is to engage stakeholders for implementation of the national youth development strategy and to mobilize support within the social development sector to improve the situation of young people as future leaders and drivers towards a better life for all. The indaba will also follow up on progress made on skills development, poverty eradication and creation of economic opportunities for the young as entailed in the vision of the new youth administration as spearheaded by the National Youth Development Agency.
The indaba seeks to place the North West province as the first to have development and implemented the national youth strategy.
