Youth Development Agency and Free State host youth development strategy consultative forum, 8 Mar

The National Youth Development Agency in conjunction with the Youth Office, in the department of the Premier, will be hosting a youth development strategy consultative forum, on the 8th March 2018.

The forum seeks to enhance the participation of young people through targeted programmes initiated by government, business and civil society, as well as support for programmes that encourage youth innovation, entrepreneurship development, skills development, including income-generating and wealth-creating activities.

The programme also seeks to create a framework within which all youth related work in South Africa can be coordinated and linked, in order to build relationships, foster information-sharing, avoid duplication and ultimately maximise impact.

In the short-term, government can immediately identify the youth focused programmes it has established. For each of the five thematic areas, all related programmes will be documented and the information made accessible to supportive stakeholders on the implementation thereof.

Details of the event are as follows:
Venue: Indaba Auditorium
Date: 8 March 2018
Time: 9h00
