The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Cassel Mathale, will deliver the keynote address at the provincial commemorations marking the Youth Day. The event is scheduled as follows:

The June month has been declared by the government as a Youth Month. It is during this month that all South Africans honour the contributions made by the youth towards attaining democracy in South Africa.
South Africa will this year commemorate the 35th anniversary of the 1976 Soweto uprisings. Government has programmes to enhance social cohesion to ensure that young people participate in the economy of the country, irrespective of race, gender or creed.
The commemorations will be held under the theme: “Youth action for economic freedom in our lifetime”.
Entertainment will be provided as follows: Winnie Khumalo, Professor, DJ Cleo, Mopedy and local artists.
