Tomorrow, Thursday 11 October 2012, Western Cape MEC of Finance, Economic Development and Tourism Alan Winde will visit various tourist attractions on bicycle in Masiphumelele, Cape Town.
MEC Winde will use the opportunity to speak about community-based tourism in the Western Cape and its benefits to local communities.
The itinerary for the tour is as follows:
- 10h00 - Two Oceans Craft and Cultural Centre
- 10h15 - Sosabenza Youth Centre
- 10h30 - Masivelani Pre-school
- 11h15 - Drumming with Sangomas in the Wetlands
- 12h15 - Lunch at Nongoloza Restaurant
There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
Members of the media that would like to partake in the tour are requested to RSVP as there is a limited number of bicycles available. Seats on the tour will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Alternatively, those that do not want to cycle are welcome to meet the tour at each one of the stops as listed in the itinerary. The attached map provides the addresses for each one.
