Western Cape Government Cabinet hits the road as part of Premier’s Cycle Tour
Premier Alan Winde and members of his Provincial Cabinet will take to the roads from next week Tuesday, 2 May, to embark on the Premier’s Cycle Tour in the Overberg and Overstrand regions to promote cycling safety. During the 3-day tour, the Premier and his team will hand over bicycles at the following schools:
- Struisbaai School of Skills in Struisbaai- 02 May from 08:30 am until 09:00 am. The Premier and Western Cape Minister of Education will also be given a tour of the school.
- Agulhas School of Skills in Napier – 02 May from 13:30 pm until 14:00 pm
- Laerskool Kleinmond in Kleinmond – 03 May from 15:30 pm to 16:00 pm
- Swartberg Secondary School in Caledon – 03 May from 08:30 am to 09:00 am
A number of Neighbourhood Watch groups will also receive bicycles.
Along the route, Team Western Cape Government will be joined by the Mayors and other officials from the Cape Agulhas Municipality, Overstrand Local Municipality, and Theewaterskloof Local Municipality.
Premier Winde said, “I cannot wait to get onto the road again with my Cabinet members and our partners to promote bicycles and cycling as an alternative mode of mobility, which can connect communities and enhance service delivery.”
