Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula is delighted to welcome H.E. Mr Salvador Valdes Mesa , Vice President of the Republic of Cuba and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ana Peresita Gonzales to South Africa.
The Vice President is in South Africa for various official meetings, but saw it necessary to visit technicians from the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, who are in South Africa to help the SANDF to service and maintain its military vehicles and build internal technical capacity. The technicians work in various centres of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) across the country.
Minister Mapisa-Nqakula will meet the Cuban delegation at the Tek Base technical centre. Media is invited as follows:
